With my 2020 trip cancelled due to COVID, a look back at my trip in 2010.
Whilst visiting the Autostadt in Wolfsburg, I stumbled across a Cisalpino ETR610 high speed train set under test.
ETR610 007, with bogies wired with sensors and sandbags on the passenger seats, waited for the passing of a DB ICE service, before departing towards Berlin on the high speed line.
Cisalpino, now defunct, was a joint venture between Italy's FS & Switzerland's SBB passenger rail companies, operating international rail services between Switzerland & Italy.
