LMS 7P 4-6-0 no 46115 Scots Guardsman working 1Z52 The Fellsman from Lancaster to Carlisle and back on Wed 26th August 2015.
Once again I chose to have a second trip onboard the 2015 Fellsman trains and this was to be my 4th trip onboard The Fellsman as I had done 2 earlier runs in 2014 with 45699 Galatea & 45231 The Sherwood Forester. For July 1st's trip I had 46115 Scots Guardsman on the front and I had hoped that for the final trip in 2015 that LMS Jubilee no 45690 Leander would be working the train as she had only done the 1 Fellsman this year, but alas I ended up getting Scots Guardsman for a second time this year.
This time I joined the train at Preston for the trip to Carlisle via the S&C. When booking on this run I had actualy thought about going on the optional Ullswater cruise over the lake of the same name, but before booking I decided to leave the idea as I didnt want to spend too much and on the day it was a very good thing I hadnt booked this optional extra as the sailings had been cancelled due to the wind.
This railtour was to be my penultimate railtour of 2015 as I have only 1 more tour planned for the 2015 season but that's another story. After once again enjoying the Fellsman season I will be booking another set of Fellsman trips for 2016 aswell as some other old favourites.
