This property dates back to 1928 when the lodge was built and operated by Leathem D. Smith as Door County's first country club. In 1993, Chuck and Mary Buccola rescued the Lodge from foreclosure and condemnation, after massive reconstruction have restored this facility yet retaining its historical charm in Nantucket-style architecture, rich in History, into a 'real find'.
