In this video we capture the famous LNER A4, 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley sprinting along the East Coast Mainline for the first time since since July 2015 on The York Christmas Market from London Kings Cross to York via Lincoln Central & return. This also must be the first time in perseveration that an A4 has in LNER Wartime black livery!

We start the video at Ryther, about 20 mins south of York where she is seen speeding comfortably northbound on the outward leg in the miserable weather.

For the return leg please excuse the darkness and lack of top quality due to the quickly fading light and bad rain with the train leaving York 25 mins late and reaching us 27 mins late at Colton Junction & Bolton Percy where she storms passed making up for lost time with some fantastic sounds of an A4 at it's best along home territory!
