First time with the new GR Yaris on Wachauring. 5 hours of drifting and the obvious question is:
Is the facelift better drifting machine than the predecessor?
Yes.
Did the 4WD overheat?
No.
But! Im kind of suspicious at some point the 4WD heats up a little and it somehow switches to less rear biased..? Maybe just cooked tires, maybe I got too tired and started doing mistakes...I will have to test it more.
Generally the facelift handles the drifting (and anything else) better than previous - definitely pushes more to the rear, also it is noticeable more powerful, the suspension is better too. Those all improved things together makes the car more fun, more precise and more controllable to drive. It is still the good old GR Yairs, but pushed to the next level.
Toyota did an amazing job with this facelift, the whole car as a unit is exceptionally balanced.
Track mode (the active one)
