Demonstrated by Teymour Darkhosh at IFC-NY and performed by Peter Eisenstadter, Dan Ross, and Teymour. Phenomenal Bulgarian folk dance.
Teymour thinks this version of Shopsko Horo may have been introduced in the '60s by a Bulgarian in California. He believes it was introduced in the East Coast by Sonny Newman, originally from the West Coast, who ran a folk dance studio in NYC then.
Teymour learned it from Stuart Greenfield, who learned it from Sonny and thoroughly documented the dance.
