What's up, Yard People and YouTube? Yard Man here talking about how I grow my gorgeous tall fescue grass here in Kansas. Simply put, I water my grass, I feed my grass, I mow my grass tall, and I prevent weeds from showing up to the party. Many of you are asking how you can have better turf and this video explains most of what I do to my yard. If you're a DIY'er, you can follow some of this same program that I use and have a full, lush green yard too. Follow manufacturer recommendations and determine the rate at which you''ll apply products per 1,000 square feet, determine how many square feet you need to care for, and get it done. Right now, during the hottest part of the year, if you're not watering effectively or at all, your grass will go dormant, and I mean turn an ugly yellow-brown and it'll be crunchy. It's easier than you think to have a great lawn, but it's going to take some work, not a lot, but some.
