The largest confederate statue in the U.S. has come down in Richmond, Virginia. The statue of General Robert E. Lee stood on the city's Monument Avenue for more than 130 years -- until now. Gov. Ralph Northam had ordered the removal of the statue in June 2020 but faced multiple legal challenges that delayed the process. Last week, the Virginia Supreme Court unanimously ruled in favor of the state, allowing the statue removal to move forward.
