Firstly I had to disassemble engine bay completely, so there would be no more things to interfere while working on the chassis. Also that will help to do a good paint job in the engine bay. Because front of the car was completely empty and rear suspension was still it the car - it was a tricky lifting, so I have added some weight in the front of the car for extra safety.
Then it came time to straighten front chassis rails and do some body measurements - one of front subframe mounting point was in the wrong position... After few pulls it came back to original position - success!
Time to remove and cut away part of the E36 front - using drill and angle grinder these damaged parts were quickly on the floor. You can also see what kind of body parts replacement BMW offers them self - some front body panels can be changed entirely or partially - good for me, as I don't want to disassemble this car too much...
In the next episode you will see how car chassis straightness can be checked with construction laser, what kind of parts I have bought for the front (including x-brace) and first sight how it will look once finished!
