Half of public transportation in Europe is done with buses. But buses are still widely considered as the least efficient and least attractive transport system.
So The European Bus of the Future (EBSF) project has decided to develop cleaner and more user-friendly buses. These made-over buses will add 20% more space for passengers, they'll have large sliding doors for better passenger flow and they'll have advanced information technology features: real-time traffic information, automated ticketing, passenger counting and driver assistance.
