Join us as we take an overnight soft sleeper Chinese sleeper train in a private room from Xi'an to Shanghai.

We board our high speed sleeper train D124 at Xi'an Railway Station after stocking up on snacks for the night ahead.

We are staying in a soft sleeper cabin that consists of four beds and a table.

I paid for an additional bed so we have the whole room to ourselves, Our own private cabin.

The journey from Xi'an to Shanghai was very relaxing and I couldn't help but look through the window well into the night.

When we finally arrived into Shanghai we got a taxi to our hotel, the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund.
