Do celebrity chefs actually know what the f*ck they're doing or are they all hype?

In my opinion, the best way to tell if a chef really knows their stuff is by their menu. Are they selling gimmicky foods? If so, they're probably just blowing smoke. 

The chefs that have been around for a long time are the real deal, in my experience. They don't follow trends or fads— they just make really good f*cking food. 

Just because a celebrity name is behind it doesn't mean that the food will be worth your time and money.
