This video goes through the Tunnels and Structures options for surveyors introduced in 12d Model 11.
This begins with the creation of a tunnel or structures using a tunnel profile, and these profiles can be applied either vertically or perpendicularly with respect to a centreline. Profiles, long section strings and a trimesh are generated to represent the tunnel.
Conformance reports and plots of survey points against the tunnel trimesh can then be produced.
It is also possible to produce a trimesh from survey points of a tunnel so that the design and actual constructed tunnel can be viewed and compared.
Finally a tunnel definition can be used to extract and filter data from a scan of the tunnel.
Held in Brisbane on July 27-29 July 2014, the 12d Model International Conference was attended by over 400 people across the three days and nights. Attendees could attend four rooms of technical talks, case studies, networking sessions and "Birds of a Feather" sessions.
