The S2 pneumatic positioning system uses a supply pressure of 80 psi and a function generator to send an analog sine wave command signal to each S2 to position the 1.5″ bore x 6″ stroke pneumatic actuator a set distance apart – enough to hold the egg.
The Enfield S2 pneumatic positioning system is versatile: precise enough to handle a fragile object, such as an egg, and powerful enough to lift over 1,000 pounds. From cylinders of one inch in diameter to one foot in diameter, the S2 is used to accurately control position.
The setup shown demonstrates two independent S2 units sent a command signal to operate in unison.
