February 8th is National Kite Flying Day! For those who keep up with our videos, you’ll remember we already printed a cut of a kite. Well, don’t worry, because we have another cut of a kite to show you!
For today, Howard letterpress printed an electrotype from the Bill Gaylord Collection of a man flying a kite. This cut was made 80-90 years ago. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press.
With the recent storms we’ve been experiencing, we will stick to just printing kites for now.
