The law of attraction, manifestation, vision boards, visualization, and the law of vibration, have all become very popular concepts in modern culture. However, this concept has also been a very polarizing one, with some celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Conor McGregor, Jim Carrey and Arnold Schwarzenegger attributing much of their success to positive thinking and visualization, while there are also many critics who dismiss the concept as fanciful thinking and superstition. However, though the law of attraction was made popular by famous figures in modern society, it actually has its' roots in ancient spiritual teachings that pervade across various different cultures.
The great Nikola Tesla once stated that, "The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.” Though many dismiss the quote as lacking a more profound meaning, many others believe he was referring to metaphysical concepts such as thoughts and consciousness. This intriguing statement takes on even more meaning when one considers that Tesla was close friends with Swami Vivekananda, and also spent a great deal of his time studying Hinduism and the Vedas.
This short documentary explores the concept of the law of attraction in great depth, exploring the spiritual roots behind the modern self-improvement teachings, and why so many successful and famous people have a deep belief in the law of attraction.

The First Part Of The Script:
What are thoughts, exactly?
It is said that you have up to 60,000 thoughts on any given day. Most of them are habitual, and few people reflect and consider whether their thinking is actually serving them.
Even fewer people ever reflect upon what consciousness actually is, and how their thinking might influence their lives and circumstances.
Under the current, rather mechanistic, modern paradigm, human thoughts and consciousness are viewed as little more than neuronal action potentials - firing automatically in the central nervous system.
And yet, the sages of many ancient eastern spiritual traditions viewed thoughts very differently, as a form of energy that could influence not only our own lives but the world around us.
While most mainstream scientists would probably dismiss such an idea offhand…. is it really so preposterous to think that thoughts and emotions might be forms of invisible energy, much like magnetism or radio waves?
To many people in the modern world, the law of attraction seems like magic, an idea that’s just too out there to be true.
And yet, hundreds of years ago, radio waves, wi-fi signals, and cell phone signals also would have been considered a form of magic, simply because they lived in a time period that lacked the technology to detect, measure, and interpret these invisible forms of energy.
It is not surprising then that these concepts also deeply fascinated none other than the great Nikola Tesla, who once stated that:
“The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.”
― Nikola Tesla
There has been much speculation regarding exactly what he was referring to, with many scientists dismissing the quote altogether.
Though Tesla was undoubtedly one of the most intelligent men who ever lived, whose inventions formed the foundation of our modern technological world, he also had a reputation for being somewhat weird, and was known to prefer befriending pigeons over people, and some of his unrealized inventions were a little outlandish to say the least (but also ridiculously awesome), and so it was easy for many of his peers to dismiss the quote as just a quirky offhand statement that lacked more profound meaning.
However, there are also many who believe that this great genius was referring to areas that modern science has yet to dare venture into….areas such as the nature of thought, human emotions, and even consciousness and the very human spirit itself.
This is reinforced by the fact that Tesla had a strong friendship with Swami Vivekananda, a world-famous Hindu monk, and that Tesla also spent much of his time studying Hinduism and the Vedic scriptures.
