Poland’s foreign minister, Radosław Sikorski, has said that the government has prepared for all eventualities in the U.S. election, saying that it did not want to repeat the mistakes of the previous Law and Justice (PiS) government. Expanding on Donald Tusk’s recent statement that Europe’s future rested in its own hands rather than America’s, Sikorski said that regardless of who wins [the U.S. election], the attention and resources of the U.S. are shifting to the Pacific and to its rivalry with China.
