With a weekend break from matches, I head North to the picturesque Lindley Wood Reservoir to do some long whip fishing for roach.
The fishing rights at Lindley Wood Reservoir are controlled by Mirfield AC and club books can be purchased online.
The scenery up here is absolutely stunning but it's the residents below the surface of Lindley Wood that I'm interested in.
Targeting roach, fishing with groundbait and casters I employ my Drennan Acolyte Pro Whip at 7m. Whip Fishing to hand can be tiring work, especially long whip fishing when the wind gets up!
