I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that this citrus plant is bearing fruits. I believe the two fruits are oranges. Hopefully, the fruits will come to maturity. Eventually, I will need to bring the plant indoors. If the need arises, I could place it under a LED grow light. The lime tree is also bearing fruits; however, I was aware of it. I Added some amendments to the soil. Today, I will also be treating the black sooty mold located on some of the lime leaves. Sooty mold is a fungal disease that grows on plants covered by honeydew. Certain insects create this sticky substance. Sooty mold doesn’t infect plants but grows on plant parts and other surfaces where honeydew deposits accumulate. It is important to note that the sooty mold blocks sunlight from hitting the surface of the leaves. My solution to the issue is I applied baking soda to the affected areas.
