Product Info: Introduce kids to the power and potential of solar energy with the Build-Your-Own Luci Solar Light Kit. This includes everything kids need to build their own solar-powered light. The only thing not in the box is the sun.

The light is made up of three detachable disks surrounded by a transparent dome. The solar panel and battery connect via USB cable to light up the customizable LED light board.

The Quick Start section of the instruction booklet easily walks kids through building the light. But the rest of the booklet goes deeper into the science behind how it all works. The five different activities, including placing the solar panel out in the sun to charge and store up energy, are designed to help kids better understand the sun, the history of solar power, how famous scientists have used solar power, electricity, magnets, and more.
