This video is about Sandy's craze for bell peppers, panchadik or sweet chit-chat between us, an easy recipe of bajo for beginners and my special cakes for sandy and srk as we celebrate his birthday, hence the video is slightly longer. Ingredients:
Chickpea flour -2 cups
Semolina -3/4 th cup
Salt - to taste
Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
Rasam powder - 1 teaspoon
Asafoetida - a pinch
Baking soda - a pinch
OR
Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Water - up to 3/4 th cup
Bell peppers - 2
Oil - enough for frying
Procedure:
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl, then slowly add water to make a thick batter. Cut the bell pepper into circles 1/2 inch thick. Heat the oil on high heat, then dip the bell pepper pieces in batter till well coated and drop gently into the oil and fry on high heat till its reddish brown and cooked on the inside. Serve hot with ketchup and tea
