Today's video calls for a special "behind the scenes" look at what I do, everyday! My name is Garrett, I'm a collision repair tech and beginner paint tech at a local dealership in Knoxville Tennessee. I hope you enjoy this video as I show you my process of repairing a vehicle, preparing it for paint, painting it, and last but not least... wet sand and buffing!
At the time of making this video, my position at this dealership was a body and paint tech combo guy, or combo tech. MOST shops in this industry are NOT set up like this. If you are looking into getting into this field, more than likely you will start or as body or paint apprentice, and not both, like I did. One of the other is the best route. Not both.
