here is a common fault with the astra k. and other models sharing the same engine a failed vvt solenoid- the leak is actually coming out around the sensor and the housing and not the o ring as initially though. the vvt solenoid (after market ) is available for less than £40 for a good quality brand although there is much cheaper alternatives. Will follow up with a repair video on replacement vvt solenoid in full
