A deep depression over the north-west Bay of Bengal has led to severe weather conditions across India. The system crossed the Odisha coast, causing extremely heavy rainfall in Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and East Rajasthan, with very heavy rain in Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat. Satellite images reveal rain clouds over multiple states. Andhra Pradesh is under a red alert for three districts and an orange alert for five districts due to ongoing heavy rains.
