In this video I let you know why I had to return my brand new GoPro Hero 11 and what you need to look for on your GoPro to be sure you don't have the same issue.
I recently purchased my Hero 11 due to the 10bit color feature and began immediately testing it out against the Hero 10. I was pleasantly surprised by the increased dynamic range of the Hero 11 versus the 10. However, I noticed something that certainly didn't look normal. What I noticed was a white vertical lens streak that spanned the entire height of the image. Whether it was photos or video the streak was there. After a little research and cleaning just to be sure it wasn't simply a smudge on the front glass element I determined it was time to put a call in to GoPro. Thankfully the GoPro customer service tech, through chat messaging, was very nice and answered all my questions. Ultimately we came to the conclusion that the Hero 11 needed to be returned.
