Come and see the lotus feet of the innocent child
who was given to Yashoda by Devaki, his mother
whose hair is decorated with beautiful garlands
and is as sweet as the nectar that came out of the milky ocean.
Come and see how he holds and puts his lotus foot
in his coral-red mouth and tastes it.
Come and see.

Meaning:
O Lord who took birth in anonymity as Devaki’s child, and overnight grew
up incognito as Yashoda’s child, -- you who upset the despot king Kamsa’s
plans and kindled fire in his abdomen, --you are our master. We have come
to pay respects to you. Grant us your favor of measureless wealth and blessed service, that we may end our sorrow and rejoice.
