Description: In this decade we’ll see the commercialization of new designs. Large and small light-water reactors, transportable microreactors, non-water cooled reactors, each promises exciting possibilities. A key to the successful deployment of any advanced nuclear power plant is to reduce risk and uncertainty. That means improving every stage of development from early licensing and siting through to initial operations. This is the mission of the Advanced Nuclear Technology Program. Together, there’s no limit to what we can accomplish.
