As part of his tour with the Institute of Public Affairs, global free speech advocate, Michael Shellenberger, outlined the dangers of Australia’s proposed ‘misinformation’ and ‘disinformation’ laws, as well as the elites’ censorship agenda at a special event in Sydney.
Michael Shellenberger is CBR Chair of Politics, Censorship, and Free Speech at the University of Austin, an award-winning journalist, publisher of the ‘Twitter Files’, and author of multiple books, including “Apocalypse Never” and “San Fransicko”.
Freedom of speech in Australia is under attack like never before. The attempts to pass proposed ‘misinformation’ and ‘disinformation’ laws are the single biggest attack on freedom of speech in Australia’s peacetime history and have no place in a liberal democracy.
In his speech, Michael reaffirms why freedom of speech is so important and the foundation of liberal Western civilisation.
