We visited Panchkula Sector 7 Market on Saturday, 4th January, around 8 PM, and what we saw was shocking. Despite being a part of a well-planned city, the lack of civic sense displayed by people was disappointing. Trash was left on the roads with no regard for cleanliness.
While the administration will clean this mess by morning, the real responsibility lies with the citizens. If you don’t see a dustbin, ask the shopkeepers—it’s their responsibility to provide one. Leaving disposables on the road reflects poorly on us as a society.
Let’s take a stand against such behavior and hold both litterers and shop owners accountable. It’s time to protect the beauty of our cities and set an example for others.
