This is the Clivus Argentarius, an ancient Roman street which is located right behind Caesar’s forum.
When you get here you can see the original basalt stone street, where the Argentarii had their shops!

The Argentarii were the money lenders of Ancient Rome, somehow the equivalent of our modern bankers.
You can visit this place when you walk around the Capitoline hill and along via dei Fori Imperiali
