Modern Bengali Song

Sahana, was born and brought up in Santiniketan, West Bengal, India and started taking music lessons from her father Prof. Bimal Bajpaie - a Tagore scholar - at a tender age. He was the inspiration behind Sahana's singing. She learnt her very first song from him at the age of three “sokatore oi kadichhe sokole”, a Rabindra sangeet. Her debut album 'Notun Kore Pabo Bole' is a tribute to him. Both her parents were professors of Political Science in North Bengal University, West Bengal, India.
Apart from singing Rabindra Sangeet, he also practices basic modern music. The lyrics and music of the song "Ekta Chhele" are given by the artist himself. This song is composed by Arnob. The song was released in a mixed album titled "Jhalmuri, Vol. 1" under the banner of Bengal Music Company in 2008.
