3분기 수출입 물동량 5.9% 감소…"세계경기 둔화 영향"
The volume of South Korea's imports and exports declined in the third quarter compared to the same period last year... as the global economy slows down and prices rise.
The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries reported on Tuesday that total import and export volume in the third quarter amounted to about 322 million tons.
This is down around six percent compared to the same period a year ealier.
By product, the decline was led by oil, coal and mining products.
The Ministry attributed the drop to inflation around the world... and the slowdown in the global economy as major countries tighten their monetary policies.
The Ministry also blamed the war in Ukraine and the rise in commodity prices.
