The Wapauwe Mosque is located in the village of Kaitetu on the island of Ambon, Maluku, Indonesia. A number of historical artifacts are stored in the mosque, including a distinctive mihrab, a long wooden drum used to accompany the call to prayer, and a collection of manuscripts and other objects. The wooden ornamental finial (tiang alif) that previously stood atop the mosque is preserved in the verandah outside the prayer hall. This video presents animations produced from data captured by the Maritime Asia Heritage Survey Indonesia Field Team and 3D animation and video editing by Tiago Queiroz at MAHS Digital Heritage Documentation lab at Kyoto University.
