Wether you are stuck in isolation and need something to do, or just want to draw something different that is an exercise in drawing ellipses and circles in space, the corona virus provides and interesting subject.

Award winning illustrator, Shoo Rayner, explains how to draw a version of what the virus might look like, based on various images that appear on TV news shows and photo micrographs that can be found on Wikipedia.

The virus is so small it probably looks quite different, but at such a small size, light wavelengths don't work quite the same as they do in in the macro world we are used to.
