Ambassador Barcena Coqui has had over 40 years of experience in the Mexican Foreign Service and outlines her plans for the bilateral relationship between the US and Mexico, while also addressing current tensions such as Trump’s national emergency declaration. Along with discussing the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, Ambassador Barcena Coqui provides insight into Mexico’s other allies, plans for economic and diplomatic growth, and the unique role California plays in guiding US-Mexico relations. The conversation is moderated by Maria Contreras Sweet, former White House Cabinet member under Barack Obama where she was the 24th administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
