Anita Krajnc, founder of The Save Movement, and Toronto Pig Save is interviewed here. With her is Camille Labchuk, Executive Director of the Canadian Group, Animal Justice.
Anita is asked if she has anything else to say about Regan Russell, who was killed by being run over by a truck entering Fearmans Pork yesterday, in Burlington, Ontario. Regan was there as part of a vigil for the pigs, Bearing Witness to their suffering, as they enter the slaughterhouse grounds in the trucks.
This could well be one of the last of these Toronto Pig save Vigils at this location, as the very repressive, and anti-Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms Bill 156 was passed this past week by the Province of Ontario. Among other things the new law seeks to ban animal rights demonstrations like this. It's likely to be struck down in the courts.
