Martin Macík's presentation at the Unicorn University Open focuses on the 20-year journey of technological development that won the Dakar.

Martin is a person with a passion for long-distance rallying and a determination to constantly push the limits. He first competed in the Dakar in 2013 as a navigator and two years later he had the honour of getting behind the wheel. Since then he has had the opportunity to race in many events. One of the greatest moments of his career as a driver was when he brought the first gold from the Dakar Rally in 22 years to the Czech Republic in 2024.
Within MM TECHNOLOGY, the company he founded with his dad, we specialize in the development and production of high-end racing trucks for long-distance rallying. These trucks are used by Europe's leading teams and, thanks to the emphasis on innovation and precision in development, have become one of the key players in the field of racing machines for the most demanding competitions, including the Dakar Rally. Their technology is the result of years of practical experience and close collaboration with the best experts in the field, allowing them to bring machines to market that can match the best.
Martin's racing career has also opened doors into the world of marketing and media. Drawing on his motorsport experience, they founded MM Production, an agency that provides photo and video production for pilots around the world. In addition, he organises the successful event Posedlí Dakarem, which sells out venues across the country every year. When Martin is not at the races, you can find him at one of the Pilot Cafés in Prague, which he and his wife founded thanks to their shared love of coffee.
