A billion dollar power project is being inaugurated in Tajikistan - aimed at switching the lights on in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Both countries suffer chronic shortages of electricity and the CASA one thousand project will export electricity from hydro-power plants in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
