The leaders from South Africa, Senegal, Egypt, Zambia, Uganda, Congo Republic and the Comoro islands met Russian President Vladimir Putin at the government's 18th-century Konstantinovsky Palace on Saturday (June 17) in the hopes to mediate in the Ukraine conflict.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said that they were here with the one clear message that "we would like this war to be ended."
