At Koh Trong Island, Cambodia, residents are in the process of securing their land rights recognised by the state. The island is possibly one of many undergoing this process. Currently, because of mutual understanding between islanders, local land ownership is peaceful. However, as valuable land resources have attracted keen joint investors to purchase land, legalising land ownership has become a preventive measure to avoid contesting land-use in the future. This video illuminates the perspectives of the villagers as they reflect on environmental changes which affect the inland inundation.
