In this video, Arifa Najma narrates the historic process of the making of Pakistan’s national anthem. The tune and the lyrics that now echo across our assemblies and national celebrations were a culmination of a dedicated team’s zeal and hard work. Initially, the anthem was purely a tune, which was composed by Ahmed Chaagla Sahab. Years after the initial anthem was made, it was decided that the anthem should also include lyrics. Thus began the arduous journey of making a country’s anthem. The historic team behind the anthem included a composer, lyricist, world renowned poets, singers, and EMI Pakistan.
