Lo Mit II is the paint used in my home. This was because of its .23 emmisivity rating from RIMA (Reflective Insulation Manufactures Association). Where Lo Mit II separates completely from other radiant paint manufactures is it's super low 76 grams per liter VOC rating. The best reflective barrier is a metal roof or foil backed decking from construction day one. In the case of a remodel due to ventilation and costs issues, radiant barrier paint is often the way to go. One point of agrivation over the years has been that the paint leaves behind a reflective dust in the attic that never really goes away.
Average install costs near $1500 for a 2200 square foot home in Houston, TX. if you use a contractor.
