The voting for the first phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections has begun early morning on Saturday. Fifteen districts are going to polls and a total of 839 candidates will be fighting it out for the 73 constituencies.Western UP accounts for about 19% of total UP population. The day begun with a chill in the air, but voting percentage is expected to to rise as the day progresses.This phase includes the key constituencies of Mathura, Meerut, Ghaziabad and Noida as well as some of the Communally-sensitive regions like Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, Dadri.
