In this unit the center of inversion and the so-called rotoinversion axis will be explained. A rotoinversion is a combined symmetry operation, where two transformations have to be carried out: first a rotation by 360 divided by n degrees, where n is the order of this rotoinversion, followed by an inversion at the center of this object.
