This Nutria was flushed from the bank of this stock pond, and then vocalized continuously for next 10 minutes. First time I have heard one. St. Gabriel, Iberville Parish, Louisiana, 7 October 2022. The Nutria making the moaning sound, somewhat like a distant cow. (The high-pitched notes in background are from a Black-necked Stilt.)
