There are new developments regarding the Jubilee Year 2025 as an initiative of grace and pilgrimage in the Catholic Church. The Holy Father has announced which Holy Doors will be open for pilgrims as they're not all in churches. The Jubilee will begin with the opening of the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica on Christmas Eve 2024. The act symbolizes the offering of an "extraordinary path" toward salvation and invites Christians to make the passage from sin to grace. Pilgrims who make a pilgrimage to walk through a Holy Door can receive a plenary indulgence under the usual conditions, or walk through a Holy Door at any of the four Papal Basilicas in Rome can receive a plenary indulgence under the usual conditions. EWTN Vatican Journalist Benedicte Cedergren has more.
