Col. Richard Black, former head of the Criminal Law Division at the Pentagon and Virginia senator, has become a stentorian voice criticizing U.S. government foreign policy, especially towards countries like China, Syria, Russia and Ukraine.In the interview, Black believed that the U.S. foreign policies toward China as “unnecessarily provocative,” and criticized the U.S. government's 20 years of involvement in Afghanistan. "We went in there [Afghanistan] with very little sense of direction about what our purpose was," he said.
