In this short film (Spanish with subtitles in Dutch. English version is coming), we meet the talented artisans behind Atelier Quillacinga Ga.eu, a Dutch jewelry brand that celebrates the beauty and culture of Colombia with social and cultural impact.
Atelier Quillacinga Ga.eu was founded by Paola Enriquez, a Colombian-Dutch woman who was inspired by the traditional and colorfull craftsmanship of her homeland. She began learning and working with Colombian artisans to create unique and handcrafted jewelry that would showcase the beauty of Colombia's rich heritage, combined in some cases with dutch influences.
Presently the brand works with artisans from all over the country, including the Kamentsa people, an indigenous group from the Putumayo region. In this film, we meet Paola and four of the talented artisans who work with Atelier Quillacinga. They are: Patricia, Juliana, Zulay, Maria Luisa and the weavers.
Through these interviews, we learn about the artisans' stories, passion for their craft, and their commitment to preserving Colombian culture.
