Two aliens discover that we are making similar mistakes to ones made back on their ruined home planet, their mission: to discover how we can all learn to care for the environment.
Focusing on where our food comes from, the aliens beam down to a London street market and meet a group of children.
With help from the children and their shipboard computer 'SID' they learn that food often travels a long way before it arrives on our plates.
They learn about 'food miles' and that transporting the food can have a negative impact on our environment.
They also learn that just because something is made locally it doesn’t always mean that all of the ingredients are local.
This clip is 'Where does our food come from?' from the series Changing our World.
