Step-by-Step Guide: How to Take an Oil Sample for a BOGE Air Compressor
Learn the essential process of taking an oil sample from your BOGE air compressor with C-Aire Service President, Roger Bergfeld. In this video, you'll learn:

Oil Sampling Process:
1. Turn off the compressor using the on/off switch.
2. Shut off the power at the supply box and lock it out.
3. Drain the compressed air system to ensure no pressure in the sump.
4. Remove the oil fill plug.
5. Use the supplied syringe to draw oil from the sump and fill the smaller oil container.
6. Seal the smaller container when it's about 1/3 to 1/2 full.
7. Fill out and attach the label to the container.
8. Place the smaller container inside the larger container and seal it.
9. Pack the containers in the supplied box, seal it, and affix the emailed shipping label.
10. Top off the compressor oil, if necessary, and replace the fill plug.
11. Remove the lockout and restore power.
12. Turn on the compressor and check for leaks.
13. If no leaks are found, run the compressor as usual.
14. Mail the box containing the oil sample using the provided shipping label.
Important Warranty Information:
- BOGE requires at least two oil samples per year to maintain the 5-year warranty.
- If these samples are not submitted, your warranty may be voided.
- C-Aire Service will take one sample per year during preventative maintenance, making you responsible for the second sample.
- To assist you, we will send an email reminder when your second sample is due.
